About the Examination
The INI SS (Super-Specialty) is the most advanced medical entrance examination in India. It is conducted for admission to DM (Doctor of Medicine), M.Ch (Master of Chirurgie), and MD (Hospital Administration) courses. This exam is the exclusive gateway for super-specialty seats at AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram. It tests specialized clinical knowledge and research aptitude in specific super-specialty domains.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold an MD/MS degree or its equivalent recognized by the NMC/DCI in relevant broad specialties.
The upper age limit is generally 35 years (with relaxations for reserved categories and government servants).
Must have completed the qualifying degree before the specified cutoff date for the session.
Provisional registration with NMC/State Medical Council is mandatory.
